I really hate bookkeeping. So much so that I procrastinate a lot. In fact, first 18 years of my business, February would roll around and I would have to spend three weeks playing catch up on last year's bookkeeping just so I could do my taxes. Two years ago, February rolled around and instead of the usual drama and headache, I went to my computer, opened my accounting package, hit print, and I was done.

What was different? Did I suddenly get smarter? Did I suddenly stop procrastinating? Did I suddenly not be lazy? No. What happened was I joined an accountability program. Once a month, we would get together on Zoom and quietly work on our bookkeeping. That was it. Suddenly, I had my books done every month. I could print out reports and make intelligent business decisions based on my numbers, all because of that accountability program.

Because even though you know you should do something, doesn't mean you always do. It's the same with your visibility. If you don't love making videos or posting on LinkedIn or sending out emails, even though you know you need to, you're going to find reasons not to. And that's why I created the Authority Building Collective is to help people who are, are like me with bookkeeping if they're the same with their visibility and marketing, is to give people some structure and some support so you can actually get shit done, get the stuff done that you know you're supposed to be doing.
